Dear Friends,
I owe my life to these markers.
Seriously.
There is a very-present sense of insanity during Winter at our house.
Desperation drives the search for interesting things to keep these three turkeys busy.
We struck gold when we brought home two boxes of Crayola Window Crayons.
Hours of relative peace have been spent on a bar-stool by the big picture window in our den.
Flowers. Transformers. Scribbles. Butterflies. Race-cars. More Scribbles.
Each of the three artists intent on their masterpiece.
A bit of vinegar on a rag and the canvas is ready for next time mommy is pulling out her hair!
Snow outside, color inside.
No wasted paper.
They are washable.
We love them.
The window currently is decorated with bright flowers and trees and pleas for Spring to come quickly -- by yours truly.
Yes, the neighbors think I'm nuts.
Love,
Color Me Crazy in NE
This is too funny - I was at the store today and saw them for the first time. I though "hum, interesting...wonder if those are worth it?". Guess I'll be getting back out to bring some home to our house. ;)

ReplyDeleteNever seen those, but they do look well worth it!
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of a book on homeschooling I read long ago--she had a wall in her kitchen that was partially covered with some type of white metal, and the kids painted on it all the time with tempra paint.
You sound like a smart momma to me. It has been so cold here and we have been sick and stuck inside. I can't wait to be able to send them out "and don't come back in until its dark!" (Not that I don't love them, I do. We have just had a lot of togetherness lately.)
ReplyDeleteThose are SOOOOO cool! I have never seen those, but now I am going to have to go see if I can find some. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh I just have to have some of those!
ReplyDeletei've seen those, and debated getting them.. but i was wondering how well my kids would stick to coloring JUST the window. i could see the color going onto the wall, the floor...
ReplyDelete:)
I got those too not so long ago and they are great fun for the kids! Of course, they had trouble resisting coloring the window frame and the carpet too...... ;p
ReplyDeleteI think a set of these might even help me survive the winter! :) I'll have to see if I can find some around here.
