dear yesterdays questions for the tomorrows of life, that is the thing about living: Tomorrows strength comes not today! How do/did i do it? love, Your Mama with a wing and a prayer mostly in NE
(i forgot to tell you, I got my prize in the mail... loving it-thankyou!!)
Somedays I feel like I DON'T do it! but when I tuck in my babies and kiss them good night, and see them peacefully sleeping, I realize no matter how bad, horrible, rotten our day was.. I wouldn't trade my job for anything in the world.
I loved this post! I think I go through this same question and answer scenario every night...when I drag myself to bed and think that I will never be this tired again. Then I wake up again and the next day I am even more tired by bed time then the day before. :) Ha Ha Ha But like Heather said after I have just a little "quiet time" to reflect I realize how even in all the choas I wouldn't trade this job for the world.
I enjoyed all your answers. I feel like things have gotten easier/better physically as my kids have gotten older. They can do SO much more for themselves now and they are not so much care that way. It's gotten harder though in some ways to. Just dealing with the daily situations of life as they grow older-maybe the mental side of things that I didn't deal with when they were smaller. Seems like as they get older there is so many influences around... Yes, prayer is what gets us through. And sleep and quiet time help too! ;)
#1 Somedays it's easier, somedays it's harder, on easy days, I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop.
#2 Never, do the most important things first.
#3 Somedays you'll love them more, somedays you won't love them at all until they are in bed. Love as much as you can, life is fleeting.
#4 See below.
#5 In the beginning, this having babies and homes in our own idea, but life steps in and runs with it, so you just go with the flow, hang on, and if you get swamped come up for breath and grab hold the helpng Hand.
#6 See above.
Love, the mama of three that has question, wondered, hung on, reached out, grabbed on,
I have never looked forward to reading comments as much as I did for this post. Loved everyone's answers. Sure would be nice if we had answers to all of life's questions, huh? Someone does... guess we can just be glad we can ask Him.
# 1: Count on it becoming harder and then it might seem easier!
ReplyDelete# 2: More things in a day, but not more time.
# 3: Just wait til that first GRANDCHILD is born! Maybe not more love, but fresh appreciation for parental love.
#4: It's been cut out for you.
#5: Which idea? Most likely it was your own! That's the eye-opening aspect!!
#6: Paddle faster and harder! It's a sink or swim world, baby!!
Dear Awake;
ReplyDeleteDoes it ever get easier?
It might, but it might get harder.
Is there ever more time in a day? Nope. Unfortunately not! I still wish for that.
Is it even possible to love my children more?
Yes, believe it or not.
Am I really cut out for this?
Absolutely! I like Susan's answer.
Who's idea was this anyway?
HA! Actually the Masters plan, so you know it's better than you could plan it anyway.
How do you do it?
One step at a time, one day at a time--by the Grace of God!
Love,
Been down this road for 33 years with a dozen.
popping in with a smile...anything I coudl have said has already been said and BETTER! :) love you!!

ReplyDeleteHang in there, Mama Hen. Down deep, I know you know the answer to every question. Part of running a chicken coop is dealing with the p**p.
ReplyDeleteHold your chickies close... and don't worry about having to entertain the rest of us, waiting like foxes outside the fence for your next update.
